Giving up Ennis for Hope? I cannot imagine it. The Hope house is a blot on Lautner's legacy.

The long Times piece is revelatory. We meet Helena Arahuete at last, and view her substantial contributions to a rebirth of the house. The stone floors, for instance,
are hers. A copper roof, added not too long before the new ownership, has browned nicely. Two 360º views near the bottom of the page are helpful as well...

Ron Burkle paid $743/sf for Hope, and is asking ~$2,875/sf for Ennis.
