I'd never seen this one before... Still in awe of it.
And of all the wonderful elements, it's perhaps those simple light boxes––how perfectly they exist where they do––which are the most satisfying.

Compare the bedrooms at opposite ends of the plan: the master, nearest the carport and diminished in size by the entry loggia, places the bath behind the headboard, with the ceiling open above both functions. The master is also distinguished by having its own fireplace---in the Wrightian tradition.
The remote bedroom with larger bath separates the two spaces more conventionally with a full-height partition. All bedrooms are daylighted from both ends, thanks to glass above door height.

Wonder how those 2x4 form ribs were fabricated ?

A good question, to which I cannot find the answer. The color photo is the best one published in the book, and there's no sign of joints or laminations.
His next ocean-front house, for the Farrars, has a single bent laminated beam 26 inches deep and more than fifty feet long, running perpendicular to the shoreline. you really want to get that book, Tom; Mills rivals Lautner for technical invention and structural and aesthetic bravado . . .
