I, too, have visited the house. At the time it was run down but still lovely. The best story I have is that the occupants built an enclosure in the bedroom in which they could sleep without heating the entire house in the winter! This, I believe, was the grand daughter and son-in-law of Abbey Beeche...

I stayed there a couple of years ago. It was in fairly good shape though mostly empty.

What's interesting is that the small town of Bartlesville allowed other office towers to be built taller that Price Tower thus diminishing its impact.

It is interesting in that it mainly centers on Broadacre City and Wright's use of the term"Darky Village" for the Jesse C. Fischer, Jr. housing project of 1957.

I strongly suggest that anyone using this forum invest in the Storrer book or books or at least the Heinz books. They all have a complete list of Wright works as well as descriptions, drawings and photographs. "...what is sense of build a prefabricated house if it won't reduce cost significantly?" T...

I'm so sorry to see these things still being sold out of a house. Even if they are not Wright designs they were at one time integral to the house.

Beautiful house. I'm disappointed that they didn't show the interior. An odd listing.

It would be helpful to stop referring to the 2nd Little house as "Northome." Northome is the area of the country that the house was located in, not the name of the house. It was, as listed by Storrer, built in 1912 and demolished in 1972. Storrer also lists it as "Northome" and I will have to ask hi...
